BLE & Connected Device App Development, Firmware to App Store

One Eindhoven team for the device firmware, the iOS and Android app, desktop clients and the cloud, so your hardware and software ship as one product.

ExtreemTek is a product engineering company at High Tech Campus Eindhoven that builds Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi apps for connected devices. The same engineers own the firmware, the mobile and desktop apps and the cloud back end, so pairing, data sync and over-the-air updates work as one system.

What we build

Every layer of a connected product

Most connected-device projects stall at the boundary between hardware and app. We remove that boundary by building both.

Mobile

BLE companion apps

Native iOS and Android apps with device scanning, secure pairing, reliable reconnection, background sync and clear device status for users.

Embedded

Firmware & BLE protocol

Device firmware, GATT service and characteristic design, low-power behaviour and over-the-air (OTA) firmware update flows.

Connectivity

Wi-Fi & cloud link

Wi-Fi provisioning, device-to-cloud communication, accounts, telemetry storage and remote management for a fleet of devices.

Desktop

Windows & macOS clients

Desktop apps that connect to the same device and cloud, for professional users, service engineers or production lines.

Web

Dashboards & admin

Web portals for customers, support teams and resellers to manage devices, users, content and firmware releases.

Commerce

Store & reseller platforms

Websites, online stores, CMS and partner distribution tools that sell and support the hardware after launch.

How we work

From prototype to production devices

  1. Discover and plan

Agree scope, device constraints, BLE and cloud architecture and budget, and validate the riskiest technical assumptions before full development.
  2. Prototype the link

Get a working device-to-app connection early, so pairing, data rates and power use are tested on real hardware.
  3. Build in short cycles

Firmware, apps and cloud are built together, with shared code access, regular demos and feedback intervals.
  4. Test on devices

Device integration testing, user testing and release audits across phones, operating-system versions and firmware builds.
  5. Launch and scale

Secure release pipelines, OTA updates, security patches and new features after launch.
Planning

What shapes the scope of a BLE project

Every connected product is different, so we quote after a short discovery. These are the factors that move scope and timeline the most:

  • Number of device types and firmware variants to support
  • Complexity of the BLE profile: data rates, streaming vs. periodic data, encryption
  • Platforms required: iOS, Android, desktop, web
  • Offline use and how much data must sync to the cloud
  • Over-the-air firmware updates and device fleet management
  • Certification and compliance needs for your market
  • Whether existing firmware or apps must be reused or replaced

FAQ

BLE & Connected Device Apps FAQ

What is BLE app development?

BLE app development is building the mobile, desktop or web software that talks to a device over Bluetooth Low Energy. It covers scanning and pairing, the GATT services and characteristics the device exposes, reliable reconnection, background data sync, and firmware updates over the air. ExtreemTek builds both sides of that link: the device firmware and the app.

Can ExtreemTek build both the firmware and the app for my connected device?

Yes. ExtreemTek is one team for firmware, embedded software, iOS and Android apps, Windows and macOS clients and the cloud back end. Because the same engineers own both sides of the Bluetooth link, protocol changes, pairing issues and update flows are solved once instead of being passed between vendors.

Which platforms do you build connected device apps for?

iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and web. For the RyseUp connected wellness ecosystem ExtreemTek delivered native iOS and Android apps, Windows and macOS desktop apps, BLE and Wi-Fi device connectivity, and the cloud services behind them.

Can you take over an existing BLE app that has connection problems?

Yes. We start with a technical review of the app, the firmware interface and the cloud services, reproduce the connection and sync issues on real hardware, and then propose a stabilisation plan before adding new features.

Do you work with companies outside the Netherlands?

Yes. ExtreemTek is based at High Tech Campus Eindhoven and works with clients across Europe and beyond. RyseUp, our largest connected-device project, was delivered for a European client.

How do I start a BLE or connected device project with ExtreemTek?

Book a 30-minute discovery call or send your project details. Founder and CEO Aqeel Wahlah joins the first conversation to understand the device, the users and the timeline, and we agree the next step, usually a scoped discovery and architecture sprint.
